I found this dress on the very first day I went dress shopping, in San Francisco, which happened to be only two days after I got engaged and my birthday. After trying on about five dresses, I tried what would become my dress on and it just felt like the ‘one’. It fit me like a glove, the lace was stunning, it had covered buttons and was timeless-everything I wanted…it was truly perfect! However, since it was the first time I was trying on wedding dresses I thought it might be too soon to make my decision.
Therefore, I went home waited a several weeks and went to another dress store. It just so happened that this bridal salon (The Wedding Salon of Manhasset, Manhasset New York) had the same dress and when I tried it on for a second time I knew I wouldn’t be able to find anything better and so…I said yes to the dress!
Julia’s Wedding Dress Preservation
Julia had a beautiful wedding and wore a classic Anna Maier silk satin wedding gown with Alencon lace overlay. Lovely garden photos were taken so when we received it for wedding dress cleaning and preservation, it had a severely dirty “hemline” at the bustle line from the festivities.
We gave Julia’s gown hemline a chemical pre-soak and careful extensive wedding gown cleaning by hand to clean it as thoroughly as possible. We also repaired one of the bustle loops that had broken. Our goal is always to return the gown to pre-wedding condition if at all possible!
Julia chose Museum Method™ wedding dress preservation and our Heritage Couture™ service package, so repairs were included and her gown was wrapped and padded with cotton muslin for the best protection.
We know her future family will enjoy her beautiful gown as much as she did. Get a free quote for your wedding dress cleaning and preservation.
