The sooner spills or stains on your wedding gown are treated the more likely they can be removed. But occasionally it happens…life slips by and your gown, with its spills and stains, is temporarily forgotten. If enough time goes by, some of the spills will oxidize into dark orange and brown spots.
Scary!
This real life nightmare can happen even when you have the best intentions. Recently one of our customers sent us her wedding gown with some “scary” stains on it. Five years had passed since her wedding so when she discovered the oxidized stains, she worried they were now set permanently. Fortunately for her, our talented staff was able to remove the stains.
Thank goodness this absolutely gorgeous wedding gown is beautiful once more.
I had the same experience, 4 years after my wedding I took my beautiful beaded lace gown out and discovered 3 or 4 brown oxidized stains. I had it professionally dry cleaned but it came back exactly the same. Is there something Jennifer did to this dress that they might not have tried? I’d really like to get them out, or at least fade them as much as possible. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Hi Erin,
So sorry to hear about your dress. A good spotter should be able to get the stains out. Be sure to ask the dry cleaner if he can get them out. If he says he cannot, please consider sending the dress to us. I’m sure we can help you.
Hi, I have a wedding gown with oxidation stains in it. How much would it be to get it cleaned?
Hi Emily,
Thank you for reaching out to us at Heritage. The cost of the package depends on which package will be needed to restore your gown. We consider 3 things when determining the best package for a gown: AGE OF GOWN, CONDITION OF GOWN and STYLE/MATERIAL OF GOWN. Once we know these 3 things, we can customize a package for you. Please, give us a call at Heritage 866-268-4696. We would love to chat with you about your gown care needs. – Suzanne
