My maiden name is Marie Christine Shrefler and my husband’s name is John Eric Byron Phillips (he goes by the nickname Jeb). We were married at Willow Springs Estates in Richland, PA on May 30th, 2015.
Shopping for the dress was very special. My husband and I live in Wisconsin and I flew to PA to shop with my mother, my sister-in-law who was my matron of honor, and my mother-in-law who drove up from NC. I purchased the gown at Bride’s Bouquet in Selinsgrove, PA. It’s Tuscany by Maggie Sottero, and the color is gold over champagne.
I loved how sophisticated and unique the champagne color looked, and the whole dress sparkled with beads and Swarovski crystals. It was the first one I tried on, and nothing else could compare. However, I was hesitant since Tuscany is a sheath and I loved the shape of a fit and flare. Well, the amazing staff at Bride’s Bouquet ordered extra fabric from the designer, turned it into a fit and flare, and created the dress of my dreams!
My father helped me find my veil at Vera’s Bridal, while my parents were visiting us in WI. It is a waltz length Toni Federici veil.
I absolutely adored my gown; I thought it was perfect and I felt spectacular on my wedding day.
