Amber Tells Her Daughter’s Wedding Dress Story
I had flown up from South Carolina to join my daughter Jordan for her appointment at Rizik’s in Washington, DC to be measured for and order her wedding gown; after a couple of visits to try on gowns, she had finally settled on an all lace, very
fitted Jim Hjelm wedding dress that we were both certain was “her” dress. Since we were a few minutes early and they were busy with other customers, we were idly browsing the racks when I spotted this glamorous, 30’s style satin Jenny Packham gown. I pulled it from the rack and held it up, without saying a word, for Jordan to see. She gasped, and said “I have to try on that dress”. She did, and we absolutely loved it. So, we went in to order one wedding dress and ended up buying another!

Right before the wedding, Jordan decided to borrow her cousin’s veil for the ceremony and it was all perfect, everything we had hoped for. On May 3, 2014, an absolutely gorgeous day, Jordan and Tom had their dream wedding at the Legare-Waring House in Charleston, SC.
