Katherine wore this Luly Yang “Spring Glow II,” ball gown style wedding dress when she married Mark Caldwell at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, in Seattle, Washington, July 1, 2016. Her reception was at the Inglewood Gold Club, in Kenmore, Washington.
She purchased her wedding dress at Luly Yang, in Seattle, Washington. It is made of ivory silk charmeuse and has a ruched criss-cross bodice and box pleated skirt. The veil is a Jennifer Leigh Veils, “Audrey”, and is cathedral-length, with fine edge trim (also purchased at Luly Yang.
Katherine’s headpiece is an heirloom made of vintage lace, tulle and beaded “cap” originally worn by the bride’s paternal grandmother in 1955 and later by her aunts in the 1970s and 1980s and expertly restored by HGP.

Prior to becoming engaged in November 2015, I had never thought about what style of wedding dress I wanted. I had no real preconceived ideas going into my consultation at Seattle designer Luly Yang’s boutique, but I was fairly certain I did not want a strapless ball gown.
The dress I ended up selecting by Luly Yang was the first dress I tried on at the suggestion of my mother and was, you guessed it, a strapless ball gown! The silk charmeuse material was beyond luxurious and the simple but classic design suited me very well. I couldn’t LOVE my dress more!

We love silk charmeuse fabric. It is luxurious and beautiful. After we received Katherine’s gown we noted that there was some make up inside the bust area and some wine splatters on the gown. The hemline was also quite dirty, as most gowns are. No damage was found during inspection, so no repairs were needed.

This is a christening dress that was my husbands grandfathers. It is over 160 years old. Has some ” rust” stains, but otherwise in fairly good condition. It’s not frilly at all. I want to have it trained when you finish with it. Do you also frame it ? If not can you recommend.end
