By Toni Urban
My dress was a replica of a vintage 1930s gown that I was enamored with, but was too stained and fragile to be worn (see picture at bottom of page.) Now that I look back, maybe I just should have sent it to your team for restoration!
I took a few photos to Rebecca Schoneveld, a bridal designer based out of Brooklyn, NY, as she already had a few beautiful bias-cut silk dresses in her collection and I knew she and her team would do an incredible job. And you can see she really did; she also added a train, and buttons down the back, for the perfect 1930’s touch.
My husband Hayes and I were married on May 21st at the Hotel Saint Cecilia in Austin, TX.
The photos provided were from Jing Yang of Jingaling photography.
Toni’s Wedding Dress Preservation
Toni’s silk charmeuse wedding dress is truly elegant and we were thrilled with the opportunity of giving it a very gentle wedding dress cleaning by hand followed by Museum Method™ wedding dress preservation.
Toni chose our Heritage Couture™ package which allowed us to give it extra care, including removing the buttons on the gown back before cleaning and replacing them afterward.
Toni’s Rebecca Schoneveld wedding gown had a dirty hemline and a several spots on the gown that could be food or beverage. Our gentle cleaning removed the dirt on the train, and the spots on the gown. We also cleaned her shoes and preserved both the shoes and headpiece/veil in a separate preservation box.
Toni and her family will enjoy these truly heirloom quality pieces for years to come. Get a free quote for your expert wedding dress preservation today.
