A Wedding dress story by Samantha Austin
I purchased this Casablanca Dress from Williamsburg Bridal and Formal in Williamsburg, VA. I had actually tried it on at a store in Washington, D.C., a few months earlier but didn’t buy it. I bought a different dress that day but could not get this one out of my mind. When I looked at the pictures that my family had taken of me in the other dress, I could not envision my big day or even see myself walking down the aisle. I knew that I couldn’t get married in the wrong dress.
I am so glad that I ended up with the perfect dress for me. The dress has beautiful and unique organza flowers covering the A-line skirt and the sweetheart neckline and beaded waist were the perfect classic touch. Every detail on the dress was thought out and perfectly placed.
My husband, Jon, and I were married at the Pete Dye River Course of Virginia Tech in Radford, VA, by one of our closest friends in June 2012.
Samantha’s Wedding Gown Preservation
Samantha’s perfect wedding dress has tulle on the bodice with appliques of bead-work, crystals and a band of silk satin on waist. Her skirt has ribbon organza flowers with beads in the center appliqued all over the skirt. The veil was trimmed with seed-crystals. She also wore a hair pin made of organza flowers, bead-work and feathers.
We cleaned the wedding gown carefully and then preserved her wedding gown with Heritage Box preservation with our Couture package. Our Heritage Couture package includes a lifetime warranty and her dress is padded with cotton muslin.
Samantha and her family will enjoy this beautiful dress forever.
