Like many brides, after Patricia was married, she put her her wedding dress in a closet and enjoyed her new marriage. Years later, she found that her silk dress had yellowed all over and particularly on the bodice. Several parts of the dress also had rust-colored stains and many of the pearls had become tarnished. Luckily, we were able to restore the dress with with a whitening chemical soak. The pearls were saved and each rusted button was removed, treated individually and sewn back on. Patricia chose the Museum Method wedding dress preservation. It now hangs in her closet where she can feel comfort in knowing it has the best protection against yellowing (and other risks) that is available.
