Many brides choose to ditch the traditional wedding gown by making adjustments to sleeves, necklines, hemlines, and patterns– but most often, the dresses remain white. We already talked about this summer’s wedding dress season trend that strayed from the traditional wedding-dress-white color–blush wedding dresses. But something totally new is on the scene: dip-dyed, ombré wedding dresses!
Taylor Ann Linko of Taylor Ann Art not only completely reworked her dress’ pattern and size, but she airbrushed the bottom of her wedding dress too! According to her blog post on the project, she said, “At first I was 100% sure I could do this. 20min into coloring, I thought I ruined my dress. It took a few days for me to regain confidence and work on it again.”
A Bored Panda post called “Dip Dye Wedding Dress Trend Will Make Your Big Day More Colorful” compiled a full list of examples that have been found online of others who have attempted the airbrush/dip dye wedding dress.
It’s easy to find DIY tutorials if you want to take on this trend and a quick Pinterest search will give you all the inspiration you need to get started.
How much for the dress with the multi colored for fall? We had to reschedule our wedding 2x due to covid and we just set a date in fall this year and I would love that dress for my wedding!
